Any VCHA member that is under 18 as of January 1 is invited to join. The Kids' Club is more than just showing horses. It is getting involved. Points can be earned by helping at the shows, selling 50/50 raffle ticket and of course showing in the youth classes.
VCHA supports its KIDS' CLUB through 50/50 ticket sales, FUNd raising, showing, lessons, and promoting the VCHA kids to get involved and STAY involved. The KIDS' CLUB is new this year and any input from the members would be greatly valued. We are continually creating, reviewing and developing new programs to help with our focus.
- The VCHA "KIDS' CLUB" is designed with the needs of the VCHA youth in mind.
- The primary goal to is get the youth excited about horse shows and becoming part of the VCHA community
- Activities vary greatly from event to event, but are based on fostering leadership, personal growth and successful life skills.
- We believe our youth to be hardworking individuals of good character, noted for their trustworthiness and ownership of responsibility.
- • We want our members to be the enthusiastic leaders of tomorrow, promoting American values, citizenship and civic participation.
- Most of all the VCHA should demonstrate self-respect and are respectful of living things.
- POINTS: Each VCHA Youth member can earn points towards the year-end Kid's Club awards and prizes. Points can be earned in the following ways:
- 1-4 points for working at a VCHA show
- 2 point per 25 tickets sold for the youth fund 50/50 raffle *high ticket seller will draw the 50/50 winner's name
- 2 points per VCHA YOUTH CLASS horse show entry
- NOTE: Youths can only sell up to $25 to an individual person per show
- ~ FINAL YOUTH POINTS will be determined by Denise Goodman and Mark Matson
To earn points EACH youth must turn in something in writing within 2 weeks of the show. This can be submitted at the show, or my email to TheWebWrangler@aol.com or deniseg93265@yahoo.com
